Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Ireland
Arrive at Dublin Airport. Meet your driver/guide and transfer to Dublin Hotel.
Visit historic Dublin Castle.
Enjoy a workshop and chat at This is Knit, one of Dublin's finest Yarn and Craft stores.
Overnight, dinner, bed and breakfast.
Day 2: Dublin to the Aran Islands
In the morning enjoy a panoramic Tour of the city of Dublin, including the River Liffey, Phoenix Park, the largest public park in Europe, and much more.
Depart Dublin and journey to Rossaveal with a brief stop for refreshments at Ballinahown Craft Village.
Ferry from Rossaveal to Inishmore on the Aran Islands
Overnight, dinner, bed and breakfast at Aran Island Hotel.
Day 3: Inishmore
In the morning, enjoy a knitting workshop and a tour of Inishmor on a local minibus, which includes stops at local knitwear shops.
Lunch at Teach Nan Phaidi or other island restaurant.
Visit Dun Aengus, a prehistoric stone fort and visitor centre.
Overnight, dinner, bed and breakfast.
Day 4: Aran Islands to Rosses Point
Ferry to Rossaveal.
Visit Killary Sheep Farm in Connemara. Lunch at local bar or restaurant.
Visit Foxford Woollen Mills, cafe and gift shop.
Overnight, dinner, bed and breakfast at the Yeats Country Hotel.
Day 5: Rosses Point to Donegal.
Visit Belleek Pottery Centre.
Visit the Slieve League Cliffs.
Visit Studio Donegal.
Note: Weaving only takes place at Studio Donegal from Monday to Thursday so only a shop visit will be possible on this day.
Overnight, dinner, bed and breakfast at the Bay View Hotel Killybegs.
Day 6: Donegal to Derry
En-route to Derry, enjoy a knitting/craft workshop with Edel MacBride.
Arrive in Derry and enjoy the balance of your day at leisure.
Overnight, bed and breakfast at the City Hotel Derry.
Day 7: Derry to Belfast.
Journey to Belfast via the North Antrim Coast.
En-route, visit Dunluce Castle (into the world of The Game of Thrones) and the Giant's Causeway.
Overnight, bed and breakfast at the Holiday Inn City Centre Belfast.
Day 8: Belfast
Visit Titanic Belfast.
The balance of the day is at leisure for personal sightseeing and shopping in Belfast.
(We will try to arrange a knit and chat evening with local crafters at the hotel.)
Overnight, bed and breakfast.
Day 9: Belfast to Dublin
Journey to Dublin, with on-route visits to the Irish Linen Centre and Museum then Thomas Ferguson's Linen Factory.
Lunch at Monasterboice Inn or other local establishment.
Farewell dinner and entertainment at Nancy Hands Pub.
Day 10: Farewell
Transfer to Dublin Airport to journey home.
